I have earned a bachelor degree in physics with a minor in mathematics graduating with a 4.0 in both my major and minor classes. I graduated magna cum laude, was awarded introductory to physics student of the year, awarded the Ted M. George outstanding senior in physics award, and taught an introductory to physics lab at Eastern Kentucky University Fall 2009. A Little Bit About Me...

For the last three years I have worked as a physics and mathematics tutor. Unlike most tutors I have experience teaching on the college level. I worked as an assistant physics professor at Eastern Kentucky University during my last year of undergraduate study. Currently I have a BS in Physics Engineering, which has allowed me to gain a thorough understanding of physics and mathematics. This fall I will start graduate school in which I will be pursuing a MS in physics. I will work as a graduate teaching assistant, in which I will also have to teach college students in physics. After my MS, I plan on obtaining my PHD in Physics as well. I have worked with students ranging from elementary school to graduate school.

Teaching to me is about how to engage the student. The material that is prepared for daily lessons can be nothing more than just words to some students. The instructor must become one with the student and understand them on their level. Once you can see eye to eye with your students, then you can begin to help them learn and grow. I learn right along with my students, gaining interpersonal skills from every student. The student's feedback and honesty helps me as an instructor meet the needs of future students.
