During my past three years at St. John Fisher College I have been actively engaged in the chemistry department. I have been exposed to various teaching types, one being active learning within a group. This has allowed me to develop teaching skills by explaining my ideas on the subject to my group, while learning the material at the same time. Also, for the past two years I have been an individual tutor for students taking introduction to chemistry. My teaching style is to have a set of problems made up for the students to observe as examples to help understand certain chapters. I have taken statistics and gotten an A in the course and still have all course materials to give a general overview of statistics and how to use SPSS.
