I believe every child is curious in nature and loves to learn. Sometimes, a child will begin to lose interest and subsequently fall behind at school because he / she encounters some stumbling blocks in the learning process. A Little Bit About Me...

In my own experience, the key to learning has been to find a "critical link:" that is, to figure out an angle that makes sense to my brain. It is one thing to be exposed to a subject, and another to understand, remember and easily employ what is learned. Everybody thinks differently, so the key is to discuss and explore the topic with a student until you see that they've experienced that "aha" moment. This is why tutoring is so important, in my opinion. This is the core of the approach I take to tutoring my peers, presenting ideas to professors, and to teaching younger students.
I received my Bachelors of Arts degree from Willamette University, where I majored in politics and minored in economics.
