My comments on tutoring Economics : The course that I currently teach includes portions which rely upon economics and the application of economics.

A combination of lecture and one on one with the student.
I practiced law for over 25 years and since 2010 have taught at Pima Community College. In teaching, I utilize a combination of law, accounting and economics to teach the courses and make the concepts taught come alive by offering real world examples of the application of each of these subjects. I often have classes in which there is a split of some people who are much more advanced than others so I have learned how to reach the struggling student without impeding the progress of the faster student. I have really enjoyed teaching and preparing students to make their way in the world.

Every student can learn with motivation. Most of my classes were self-paced, and I had great success in motivating students of all types. My most recent position was teaching science to at-risk high school students who averaged 4th grade levels in reading and math. Every participating student earned credits in science, a first for most of them. I attended college at three different schools, on athletic scholarship in two of them. I earned two bachelor degrees, BA in Philosophy and BA in Political Science. After graduating I spent one semester teaching sciences at an outdoor based alternative middle and elementary school just outside of Austin, TX. Lastly, I like to emphasize how and when the aforementioned subject will be of value during the students career and/or lifetime. I am very patient and detailed teacher. I go step by step when trying to teach a child how to do something. I don't skip steps. If they still don't understand, I don't go on to the next part of the lesson. I make sure they know and understand how to do the first part before I go onto the second part. Also I make things as simple as possible, complexing a subject doesn't do any good when it comes to teaching.
