From October 2002 thru May 2011, I worked in the Duval School Board School System (Jacksonville, Florida) as a Substitute Teacher. I subbed in several elementary schools teaching students in Grades 1-5 in the areas of Math, Science, Social Studies, and Language Arts. As a female in a predominantly male field I’ve had to formulate a self-teaching method since most of my professors were male and seemed to think and teach in similar ways. Following that experience I returned to graduate school to get a masters in Early Childhood Educ, k-3.
