I was recently in a 4 year college down in Pomona, CA for a quarter, Cal Poly Pomona, and in a couple of years I will be transferring Cal Poly SLO. I passed my high school years with A's and B's and have also been passing my university/college classes with the same. In high school, I tutored kids for free and a lot of them were in grades above me. Near the end of high school I started teaching younger kids through care.com. I absolutely love tutoring and I think it's amazing to watch a child's mind grow right in front of you.

I believe in Minimalism. I tutor Math from the point of view that the shortest path is the best path but everyone learns differently and finding the right method for my students is one of my main goals when tutoring. I teach students multiple ways to solve a particular problems and they get to decide which method works best for them, hopefully its the simplest method. Public School class rooms have 30 plus students and only one instructor. The low instructor to student ratio makes it difficult for more then one method to be taught leaving some students behind.
