I believe all learners can be successful in their learning when presented with learning opportunities within their primary learning styles. I am patient and able to present information by creatively using visual, auditory, and participatory modes of learning. Differentiated instruction allows me to provide students with learning opportunities to meet their specific learning styles. I don't have a style. When I left high school in rural Iowa I was told I was retarded and would never even be able to write a check. At age 38 when struggling through Iowa State my chem teacher sent me to be tested for learning disabilities and I had multiple learning disabilities but an above average IQ. I don't teach I allow the student to learn in an environment where they are listened to, talked with(not to) and treated like they have value and worth. I treat them the opposite way I was treated. And when they do well we cheer together!
