I enjoy teaching and also I am a volunteer of the Goodwill Connection in Lincolnton, NC. I help job seekers to build their resumes, cover letters, and fill job applications. I also have touhgt English as Second Language and administered ESL Examinations for Gaston College.
Prepared and administered written, oral, and performance test and issued grades in accordance with performance; Distributed tests and homework assignments, and collect them when they were completed; Graded homework and tests, and computed and recorded results, using answer sheets and Prepared lesson outlines and plans in assigned subject areas, and submitted outlines to teachers for review.

I have a daughter in the 8th grade and a son in the 6th. I have home schooled them the past 9 years. They have very different learning styles which has helped me to learn to teach in different ways to accommodate their needs. I am patient and easy going and I love helping kids.
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting. I have very strong math skills, especially in Algebra, which is what my daughter is learning now. I excelled in grammar, art, health, and science as well. I was a teacher at a private school for a year after college before I started a family and began home schooling. My daughter is now in the 8th grade and tests at the college level in reading and high school levels at most other subjects.

My approach is to establish a relationship with small talk and introductions. A parent must be present at all times. I will keep up with the child's work load in the respective subject and also be in contact with their teacher. But my inital style will be repetition, which I found to be most productive during my time in the military. However, I realize that there many different methods to teaching. I will offer as many tools or resources that are needed to assist the child in learning the subject matter. And I will search continually to find the best method for the child and subject that we will study.
