I began tutoring lower level Spanish students in high school for several years. Later in college, I volunteered for the America Reads Challenge Program and helped elementary-aged students improve their reading skills. Not long after graduating college, I moved to Costa Rica where I taught English for six months to learners between the ages of six and sixty years old. During my Student Teaching in Des Plaines I was in complete control of a Kindergarten classroom and later a 2nd Grade class.
