I am very passionate about teaching. I am a very hands-on type of teacher that really likes to get the student involved in their learning. I like to set goals for learning, but also find it important for students to set their own goals as well. I believe that all children can learn, no matter what. It is just my job as a teacher to be able to help figure out their best way to learn as well as bring those resources to that student for their success.
I graduated National-Louis University with a 3.7 GPA, and am also in the Kappa Delta Pi honors society for teaching. As a graduate student working towards earning my Master's in Education, I presently observe and do field research studies with students at the elementary age. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree which has enabled me to gain in depth experience and comprehension in mathematics. I have worked with school children for several years as a Site Director for Champions which provided me an opportunity to help children in many facets of learning. For two years, I tutored mathematics for grades K-12 for our local school district while also teaching online math courses to gifted children.
