I am currently the Pharmacy Manager of a Specialty Pharmacy in Pittsburgh, PA. I graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree. Currently, I am licensed in 15 states to practice pharmacy. I have a large amount of experience in taking various state pharmacy law (MPJE) exams and with taking the NAPLEX and PCAT exams.

Genetics is one of my top subjects! I have been a genetics counselor for 13 years. Masters degree in genetic counseling from Arcadia University. I am also certified as a genetic counselor. Worked as a genetic counselor in a prenatal setting, metabolics, newborn screening, and molecular genetics. My expertise is in metabolic genetics but all human genetics is in my range of experience. I can also assist with the certification exam for genetic counseling.

I have been a genetic counselor for 13 years from an accredited college in Pennsylvania. First, I worked as a prenatal counselor but switched to newborn screening and metabolic genetics for the majority of my career. I earned certification as a genetic counselor in 2009. I have taught high school students the basics of genetics in a classroom as well as taught masters degree students.
I believe students learn in different ways so I will make sure to provide different formats to allow the student to achieve learning success. There will be written work, visual presentations by myself as well as having the student present what they have learn to demonstrate comprehension. If there are any questions, please ask!

A Little Bit About Me...

There are 2 things that I’ve known since I was a child, I am fascinated by the study of biological mechanisms and I enjoy helping others. As an undergraduate at Allegheny College, I excelled in the biological sciences and was selected to be a teaching assistant for the Cellular Biology & Molecular Biology courses. Last spring I was asked to guest lecture at Central Catholic High School where I introduced the students to basic cancer biology. Most recently, I have taught a Microbiology course at CCAC. Although my formal PhD training is in biomedical research, I believe that the experiences described here have provided me the necessary framework for which to be a successful tutor and teacher.
