I graduated from Mount Union College in May 2006 with a BA in History and a double minor in Adoloescent to Young Adult Education and American Studies. Throughout high school I was a teacher's assistant helping with students in class during my study halls as well as working one on one with students for extra study skills. In the past few years I have tutored students in elemtary math, middle school reading and writing, and even my own students before and after school in social studies. While at Morton College, I accepted the position of Administrative Assistant to the President of the College. As you might expect, his academic background was Education. In many discussions about teacher effectiveness and research into that issue, it was shown that a teachers ability to listen to the students question and the number of possible responses with different interpretation of the subject matter that the teach was capable of, increased the teachers effectiveness.
