I have been in the CAD industry for 10 years now. I studied CAD in a range of different places in high school and college. I started as a Drafter in high school and just kept pursuing it until my senior year when I went to a vocational scholarship to enhance my trade. Once in trade school I excelled and was invited to the Georgia VICA Skills competetion. I also was a teaching aide here as I helped grade papers and set course outlines. Fronm there I attended Auburn University in which I only spent two years before realizing my passion was CAD. I then completed my coursework at Gwinnett Technical College where I received certificated in CAD operator as well as CAD Technician and drafting aide. A Little Bit About Me...

My strongest suit in my teaching style is probably the many ways that I would approach teaching a certain principle. If the student does not understand one way to approach a problem, I try to best to help them understand and learn another way. I feel like since everyone learns differently, a tutor should approach a problem from as many angles as possible. My teaching style is also very patient. I suppose the saying "give a man a fish, feed him for a day, teach a man how to fish, feed him for a lifetime" would apply to my style. I try to make sure the student understands the principles behind the type of problem and not just how to do the one problem. That way, if they see another problem like the one they just learned, they can apply what the learned and do the second problem.

I first start by explaining the material the way that I understand it. I also show examples to show how the problems are solved. If it doesn't seem to be taking then I start to break the problems down into simple steps and explain each step until the student understands. I also try to relate the material to them so they can relate to the material on a more personal level so that the information will stick with them better.
During my time at Hampden-Sydney College, I was a math tutor, computer science tutor,and a physics tutor. I started tutoring my junior year of college where I just tutor math and computer science.
