As a Siena College graduate I developed a very hands on approach to active learning. Through classroom lecture and instruction I've completed the necessary coursework to complete my BS of biology. Due to my strong work ethic I've gained knowledge and skills in the physical sciences, as well as in other subject areas. During my college years I subbed as teacher at a public K-12 school. During that time I taught a variety of grade levels, and worked as a one-on-one aide.
I believe that in order to succeed in teaching and being an educator you must inspire those that you are teaching. A child who is excited to learn, will do much better. I feel a hands on approach is best, guiding the child to personal success.

I hold both a B.S. and a Ph.D. in chemistry and over the past 14 years I have mentored, tutored, and instructed at the college level in chemistry and biology. I currently am employed as an assistant professor of chemistry at a small private liberal arts college where I have taught chemistry full-time the past two years. My area of study is biochemistry, a rewarding interdisciplinary field, which has trained me extensively in many facets of chemistry, biology, and mathematics. I beleive everyone can learn, you just have to work with them. I am easy going, considerate, enthusiastic, and helpful with students. M goal is to help students learn the most they can. I beleve in a very hands on, active approach to learning, not just reading and repeating a textbook.
