A Little Bit About Me...

I enjoyed working on Calculus problems with students determined to succeed. I believe that tutoring is two-way process: I help my friends better understand Math; they teach me how to be a better teacher.
I worked in Ukraine in a private secondary school for five years as a teacher of Russian Language and Literature. When I came to USA I was excited to start my new career path. Although I find myself challenged, acquiring new knowledge is very interesting for me. I have earned a Bachelor degree with majors in Mathematics and Computer Science. While in school, I helped my fellow students with their studies of Calculus and Introductory Chemistry.

With the right teacher who has the right attitude towards teaching, any student can be taught anything. The best types of teachers are the ones who make a subject, as Einstein might say " as simple as possible, but not simpler." They are the kind of teachers that can motivate a student to want to improve themselves. I think I am that kind of tutor. I am the kind of person who likes to take a step by step approach to solving mathematical problems with students. If a student is stuck on a concept, I like to ask them questions that allow the student to think. Thereby I simply don't give the answer. I am patient, considerate and hard working.
