I have been tutoring all subjects K-8 for over 15 years. I am a certified teacher and currently teach 6th grade. I worked at Sylvan Learning Center for over a year before becoming a private tutor. I have been very pleased with the results I have seen with private tutoring. References are available on request.
I think lots of modeling and review of the concepts being taught is essential. I want the student to observe the modeling and then for me to guide them through the learning of the concepts. Students should be fully engaged in order to gain a full understanding.

I believe in hands-on cooperative learning activities to fully engage students.
I have taught pre-k for 2 years prior to my experience in elementary education. I have a variety of experiences working with children in various settings including tutoring.
