My teaching style is to find out what a student is good at and build on that success to improve areas of concern. I use humor and a laid back style with organization and skills to increase probability of success in academic areas. I believe every student is different and learning styles are unique. I keep coming at a problem in different ways until we find a method that works. I listen to the student and approach difficulties as challenges giving the student courage and confidence.

I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology. I have always had a passion for learning and helping others. I feel that each child needs to feel appreciated and successful. My sessions include, of course, language, music, or speech, but I also work in philosophy, history, and technology. I have a BS in psychology with a minor in biology from the University of Illinois. My focus has been on medicine and science, working in adult medical education for over 12 years. I owned a medical education company for five years, working with physicians who would be considered the top two percent in their fields in the world.
