My comments on tutoring Desktop Publishing : Communicating clearly, concisely, and for a specific response are all essential in any desktop publishing.

My style of teaching is real-world understanding and application firmly based on theory. In other words, I teach how to accomplish each element, but why it is important to do so. In my instruction, I establish goals and create achievable steps for the student to follow in order to achieve those goals.
I spent over 20 years as a graphic designer for various colleges and universities. In that time I used my office as an educational opportunity for my student assistants, but I always had the desire to teach. In 2011 I returned to school for my Teacher Certification in English Language Arts and Reading grades 8-12. I have since then taught English I, II, III and IV, Recovery Reading for 9th and 10th graders, as well as Art and Yearbook. A Little Bit About Me...

For almost twenty years, I’ve worked with students as a K-12 as a tutor, coordinator, counselor, and advocate in a variety of educational environments. I am committed to the belief that achieving a good education is the most viable way for students to become productive citizens. In 2006, I returned to college to obtain my bachelor’s degree and by flexing my classes scheduling, earned 83 hours in 6 consecutive semesters and graduated Magna cum laude from Eastern Illinois University in the December 2007. My educational focus was Psychology and Philosophy, alone with writing intensive courses and I am also a twice-published fiction writer and a published poet.
