I'm a warm, dedicated person that enjoys to learn and teach.

I worked for Project Transformation through SMU. I tutored high risk and underprivileged children in Oakcliff with after school homework help. Their ages ranged from 5-12 years old. I along with my fellow tutors also provided extra intellectually stimulating activities when they finished their homework such as future planning and education regarding different cultures.
I provide as much one on one attention as possible. I provide examples, write out explanations using the board, and try to help the child progress without giving them the answer.

My comments on tutoring Calculus II : Completed Calculus I-IV college coursework

I've either taught or tutored in some form or fashion for over 17yrs now. I've had ages 3yrs to 22yrs old covering all manner of subjects and hobbies. One of my most rewarding experience was with an 18 year old special needs 10th grader ready to drop out of school. We met 2-3x a week for 6mths. In that time he raised his GPA from 1.2 to 2.7. He completed his 10th grade year and went on to take and pass the G.E.D. the following year.

I was a resident advisor and resident manager while in college and tutored several students voluntarily in the resident halls and libraries. I also worked as a part time nanny and helped the children with homework. After graduation I was offered a job at an early learning center in Columbus where I worked as a preschool teacher for 2 years. As a graduate student at UNT, I instructed several physics and astronomy labs and learned first hand what teaching can be like. I have since felt that teaching math and science is a career I want to pursue.
