My teaching style allows for the student to have a lot of self-revelation through answering leading questions, practicing hands on when applicable, and reviewing of mistakes—I find it is very helpful to not ‘erase’ a problem when a mistake has been made but to instead circle the mistake and begin again, the error is watching to ensure the error is not repeated. Math should be READ first, understanding that the last part of the challenge in the equation is usually the calculations. Words used in mathematics often have the same meaning as when used outside of a mathematical situation or scenario, and it is the definition that will aide in remembering the formula. My comments on tutoring Math : I primarily taught 6th grade and 8th grade. I have tutored third grade all the way to high school math.

I graduted from Styephen F. Austin State University in 2002 with Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies. My concentration in Mathematics. I have been teaching for 11 years in the Desoto and Lancaster Districts. I have taught 6th grade for 9 nine years amd 8th grade for 2 years. In the school year 2012 -13, the Lord allowed me to have the highest Mathematics STAAR test scores in eight grade. Also, I have tutored from third graders to high schoolers in Mathematics. I have former students to call me personally about problems. I will have technology like the students "kik" accounts where the students can access me in a two hour window from Sunday thru Thursday for home work.
I have a style that is sometimes pencil and paper, technology driven, or playing games to get the academic point across.
