I taught Communications 101 to 20 "lifers" at San Quentin Prison as part of the Prison University Project. Some of these men had not been in a classroom in 20 years. I've also spent three years on the Advertising Review Committee for the California Chapter of the American Lung Association vetting all adverting, marketing and PR messaging for the marketplace. Lastly, I published my first book in 2012 entitled "Buzzkill," which is now used as required reading at Drexel University in a Psychology 101 course. A Little Bit About Me...

I have discovered over the past year of substituting that I absolutely love teaching. Students are very comfortable with me as I am a very positive, friendly person who smiles a lot. As the parent of a college student, I was a tutor for 12 years. I know how to make learning fun and rewarding.
I have a BS in Business and have worked in Mortgage and Banking for many years. This industry requires excellent written communication skills as well as practical math skills.
