I've been teaching for about 7 years in high school, both in the public and private sector. I taught for 5 years at Vashon High School and 1 year at Incarnate Word Academy. Subjects were Biology related in both settings. While teaching there I recieved my certification as well as a Master's degree in Education from UMSL. Before being downsized at IWA, I received my Master's in Biology from Washington University. This past spring semester I taught both major and non-major Biology, a full time overload schedule at East Central College in Rolla, MO. My teaching style is one that tries to incorporate seeing, hearing, saying, and doing and getting students to use higher order thinking skills as much as I can.
