My comments on tutoring English ESOL : I have a vast experience teaching English as a Second language to newcomers, beginner and intermediate levels of English language proficiency.

I graduated from Nazareth College of Rochester NY, with Master's in Education, majoring in Teaching English to Speakers for who English is not a native language. I am looking forward to finding tutoring opportunities as a New York State certified English as a Second Language and Literacy (ESL/ESLL) teacher, certified to teach/tutor students from K to 12 and adults. Additionally, I would like my future students to know that my native language is Russian. I feel as though every student will have their own niche. They will have a special subject that they enjoy the most and one that they despise. I think that figuring out how the child studies for the subject they enjoy will lead to an understanding of how to motivate that student to learn the subjects that are more difficult for them. Also, if the student's teacher stays positive and pushes him or her towards success by means of positive reinforcement they will succeed.
While studying at SUNY ESF I held a position as a teaching assistant for Western Civilization. This involved grading exams and papers, preparing and giving lectures, and holding office hours to assist students with any questions or concerns they may have had. I also spent time volunteering to teach and after school science club through ESF Outreach for elementary / middle school aged children.

I feel that one of my strengths is my creativity towards learning. Not all people learn in the same manner, therefore my teaching style depends on the person I am working with.
