This depends on the student and his or her individual needs. I like to find creative ways to make learning more fun for the individual so that he or she will feel more motivated to learn.
I have been tutoring since I was in high school. Between that and teaching Sunday School and Children's Church, I have more than ten years of experience. I have tutored children whose ages range from elementary school to high school. I have also tutored adults to help with college classes and help prepare for GED tests. I teach the Bible to children whose ages range from newborn to eight years.

I have worked as an elementary education teacher for 24 years. I attended East Carolina University and have completed 24 hours of graduate-level work towards a masters degree. I graduated magna cum laude and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa as well as the education honor society. I have worked at a local tutoring center as well as having done private tutoring. While serving as a child-care center director, I wrote and helped to implement a curriculum for children ages 3-8.

My first tutoring experience was in my freshman year of college. I tutored basic college algebra and calculus. Having earned two bachelor degrees in both math and physics. I feel I have a good understanding of not only the theory but also the applications of math to science. Tutoring both privately and publicly has also increased my speaking and presentation abilities. I love teaching holistically. I belive strongly in differentiation, not everyone learns the same way.
