As a "late in life" graduate of Fordham University, I received permanent Teaching Certification and continued to teach in a public school district for 5 years. I was then offered an amazing opportunity to bring a non-profit pre-school and daycare back to fruition which I accomplished in under a year. In 2006 I was at my final step of reaching my BA in Secondary Education with an emphasis in English with only having left to complete my student teaching, but was taken by another opportunity. I moved to Japan and teach ESL and ESOL for almost 3 complete years. I taught from all ages two to adults, and learned many new skills, instruction and classroom management techniques, a new language and different ways to engage students in lessons.
