Throughout my undergraduate years, I was recognized as an outstanding student and held the maximum number of teaching assistant positions every semester. I often met students in the library to hold tutoring groups, and I handed out my phone number in case someone needed my help anytime. Since attending college, I have been infatuated with teaching. To learn the best strategies for teaching chemistry to students, I took a course entitled, “Instructional Techniques in Chemistry,” and served as the sole laboratory instructor for two sections of general chemistry during my undergraduate studies. I have taught non-science major undergraduates, continuing education high school teachers, undergraduate chemistry majors, and graduate students in biochemistry and cell biology.
