I have a hands on teaching style that mixes fun activities with an emphasis on asking children questions. I pay attention to each individual student and try to figure out what their learning style is. I try to center activities around how they learn (ie. if they are a textile learner, I'll bring in physical shapes to work on geometric problems as opposed to worksheets). As a high school student I tutored as part of the National Honor Society for 2 years. I tutored elementary and middle school students in group settings after school. I helped them with all subjects. After graduating from Michigan State University I have been tutoring privately in college level mathematics. I also attended a semester of Medical School and at the end of the semester I was selected to be a teaching assistant for Anatomy. I assisted for a few weeks but then I had to leave medical school due to bereavement reasons.
