My comments on tutoring Government : Almost all of my college electives were taken in Government and Politics, I was one class short of receiving a minor, and I received a grade of A/A- in all Political Science courses. I took the AP Government and Politics class in high school and received a 5 on the test, and in college I have taken Comparative Politics, State Government, American Congress, and Political Psychology.

I have succeeded as a Pre-Med student and psychology major while playing for the University of Colorado D1 women’s volleyball team and thus developed excellent study skills. I have taken and done well on the MCAT and I am applying to medical school in the summer of 2013. I have spent time tutoring my younger brother and many of my teammates and friends in biology, general chemistry, writing/editing, and all psychology fields.

I try to bring information, facts and ideas into a unified whole, so that rather than being a matter of simple memorization, subjects can be internalized, understood and learned. My comments on tutoring Government : I have the equivalent of a BA Degree in Political Science and I am very knowledgeable of the American political processes.

My teaching style, when engaged in one on one tutoring is very individualized. I used the student's personality and interests to design my teaching style. I love tutoring because I can teach to a student's interests and personality and establish a love for learning in most of my students.

In my past I have taught many years as a tennis instructor and ski instructor. I also taught at a Federal correctional Institution in Englewood, Colorado in their Education Department in 1990 and 1991. i tutored inmates for their 8th grade equivalency as well as several others through their GED's. In 2002 through 2004 I also was the training officer for Star West Aviation. Learning starts with learing about oneself and how you best perform. It is very similar to sports, you start off learning the techniques and then you must learn how you best apply them, and yes it takes practice. I have gathered many tools in my life and they came from all the different activities I have done. One must only keep the eyes open and mind focused to absorb the world around them.
