I received my bachelor's degree in Accounting in June of 2015. My GPA was 3.83 at this time. I also obtained my Associate's degree in IT Support in December of 2011 with a GPA of 3.83 as well. I have worked in the finance department of my current job for over sixteen years, and I am also the system's administrator in charge of networking and all PCs.

School can be tough, but life without school is tougher!

I am a high school graduate. I am looking at furthering my schooling in art. I love children and the honesty about them. I feel as if someone teaching or learning by someone their own age can make a big difference. I have been a student mentor for many teenagers and younger children not only through school but through Facebook. Many students come to me with questions about school, family, and just life in general. They know they can trust me to give the best advice I can. ( which also includes sometimes telling their parents if they are hurting themselves or being hurt) I am a responsible person.

Teaching has always been my passion & I enjoy every minute. I believe that all children can learn given the oppurtunity to learn verbally, kinesthetically or whatever way they learn best. Being a preschool teacher I have learned to be patient and strive to give each child the ability to succeed. I love to learn, and when sharing that knowledge, my ultimate goal is to leave the student with a spark that will hopefully motivate them to pursue the subject above and beyond the lesson. Motivation, learning style, and goal structure are components I consider when setting up a lesson. As a computer programmer, I tend to be task oriented. I like to break a project into smaller chunks with clear boundaries. I believe that having the student participate in defining these goals helps them focus, keeps them from getting overwhelmed, and gives them a way to measure their own success.
