I have informally tutored many throughout my time at Princeton University in many different fields within Chemistry. I've found when the subject is also a passion, teaching others to see the reasons for that passion makes learning fun and easy. Chemistry can be a challenging subject - my goal is to change that. I like to take students step-by-step through the process of finding answers to complicated questions. I am a strong believer in teaching the student to think for his or herself. If I'm asked a question, I prefer to help the student find the solution rather than simply give the answer. I started around 2005 tutoring for the departments of chemistry and math in Queensborough Community College, from the basic levels in organic chemistry 2 and calculus. I earned my Associate degree in science from Queensborough Community College and finished my Bachelor Degree in Stonybrook University. At Stonybrook University also tutor chemistry and math. During the summer 2006, I had the entire department of chemistry tutoring under my guide. My experience comes from teaching my own classes and from interacting with my students.
My style is open to discussion. I like to ask questions to the student about the knowledge they have and based on that, apply my knowledge to build a strong base to be used as a core to solve more problems. I live the one on one interaction but also love the group discussion. I used to tutor an entire classroom during summer for 6 hours straight.
