When I was teaching, my students consistently scored well on end-of grade tests, and during my time as an educator I have taught summer school or remedial math for seven years. A former superintendent commented that I was the best elementary math teacher he had ever seen. Tutoring differs from teaching in that "style" is replaced by method. Some of the methods I have used in the past are rhythm and music, neumonic devices, and of course, drill and practice. I have been told that I am gifted with presenting material in novel ways. As mentioned in my earlier description, I have eighteen years experience as an educator. I have taught students of all ages from early childhood through college and non-traditional adult education.
