Love watching children learn and grow!

I use a variety of teaching styles and methods to reach students because I know that all students are different and learn better with different methods. I try to find creative ways to reach students to try to make learning as engaging and meaningful as possible.
I graduated from East Carolina University with a B.S. in Elementary Education (K-6) as well as Reading Certification (K-12). I did an internship in 1st grade as well as taught some in 2nd and 3rd grade. I know that each child is different and that I must differentiate my teaching methods in order to reach all children. Helping Your Child Reach His Potential

I have tutored elementary children one on one for about 2 years now. I did my student teaching at Friendship Christian School in Raleigh. I enjoy teaching children to read and am proficient in teaching mathematics to younger children. I do well teaching one on one with no distractions. I am firm, but not mean. When it is time to tutor, nothing else is allowed but schoolwork.
My thing is repetition. Writing everything out and practice, practice, practice. Memorize to learn, not memorize just to pass a test. I want the kids to KNOW their material.

Changing The World, One Child AT A Time

I was an assistant teacher to a 3rd grade class at Wilson's Mills Elementary from 2001 until 2003. I love when I can help others!

I am going to school to become a teacher in the grades of kindergarten through 5th, I have been a nanny for several people and have enjoyed it completely!
