Helping children work through learning issues is my passion.

I have 22 years experience teaching public education k-6. I began my career as a special education teacher and then moved into regular education classrooms. Throughout high school and college I helped numerous classmates develop efficient ways of studying as well as providing assistance to learning and understanding the given material. During high school I mainly tutored my neighbor's young children in elementary subjects. In college I helped fellow classmates in my major and minor. The most challenging tutoring experience I had was when my own brother was diagnosed with schizophrenia and he was taken out of school for months at a time. Elementary Reading is one of my top subjects! Reading is a skill which not everyone appreciates. For me reading has always been an important part of my life. I learned how to read at a very young age and my level of reading has always surpassed my peers throughout school. I understand that for many people reading is challenging not only mentally but physically. It requires self discipline and focus.
