Hello. I majored in Biology in college with a minor in Chemistry. I graduated with honors and was a tutor throughout my college career in Biology, Genetics, Anatomy, Physiology, Histology, and Microbiology. I went on to receive a Masters in Biomedical Science from UMDNJ where I also worked in the Radiation Research Laboratory exploring the Bystander effect of cells exposed to radiation therapy. I went on to explore veterinary medicine working in the Emergency Room of a 24 hour veterinary specialty hospital.
I believe that breaking down complex processes is key to understanding any aspect of Science. Pathways and processes become easier to grasp when broken down to smaller components. When I was 10 years old, I started helping my grandmother—who is originally from Peru—with her English. As I knew and understood her native language very well, I relied on my ability to translate in order to help her. As this process worked quite well, I have continued to use it with all of my tutoring positions. A Little Bit About Me...

This past September I became a tutor in the Special Needs Department at Masconomet Regional Junior High School. I chose this department and school because I was once a student in the program. Currently, I work with 12 specific students that all have severe add and adhd. Each day we create activities that focus on their weaknesses in math and English. In addition to these two subject areas, I also attend their normally scheduled classes (Science and World Cultures). This way whenever they struggle, they know they can always count on me to assist them with their weakness.
