I love teaching elementary children. I like to watch their faces when something finally clicks and they light up. All children have the ability to learn some just need a little extra help or the information explained in a different light. I am a patient and caring teacher who likes to use new and creative ways of learning. I would like to help your child grow and learn and reach their full potential. As an education graduate, I am looking forward to helping children achieve their goals in education. For the past seven years I have been in classrooms ranging from first through fifth grade. I tutored a second grader my senior year in high school and is now teaching two year olds in an early education facility. I first make learning fun and exciting. As in past experience each child learns diffently and I need to be able to adapt to this. I first see what the level of the child is then work on the next step and help make sure the new level is learned as well as the old level is still maintained. I have a BS in Child development with a minor in phsychology and I was teaching for Head Start back before I finished my degree. I have since finished and I am looking to expand my range. I love math and it just comes easy for me. I have a background in Engineering and Calculas.

I am very passionate about teaching. I am a very hands-on type of teacher that really likes to get the student involved in their learning. I like to set goals for learning, but also find it important for students to set their own goals as well. I believe that all children can learn, no matter what. I have a Bachelor's degree in History and an Associate's in Process Technology. I am a member of Phi Theta Kappa honor society. I possess excellent math skills and took statistics in college. I enjoy helping others and feel I am a good fit for this position. I do not have a specific teaching style. Everyone is different, so one particular type of teaching style may not be as effective as another. In order to be effective, I think it is important to recognize the students strengths and weaknesses before embarking on a certain learning path.

As a college graduate, I have a passion for education and want to do all I can to see the youth of America excel. I am returning to school in pursuit of a 2nd Baccalaureate Degree in Elementary Education. I believe there is a need for the youth to prosper and education is key.
