I have bee a paraprofessional in the cherokee county school system where I was in charge of art projects for the class and grade level. I am also a professional picture framer and use my design skills to create framed art. For years I have helped children to "color outside the lines." I think that is a great life skill!

A Little Bit About Me...

For the past five years, I have been teaching high school art. I have taught classes in basic art, drawing, painting, photography and ceramics. I have extensive experience with classroom and diversity management and coaching as well. Aside from the classroom, I have also become an accomplished painter, specializing in portraits in oil.
I believe that learning should be an experience that involves exploration and questioning as opposed to direct, traditional instruction. Today's youth require a different approach which requires the development of a personal responsibility toward learning.
