Hey! My names Bethy! I'm 13 years old and in 8th grade. I've been tutoring since I was in 5th grade. I can tutor all ages in almost any subject. Last year I had the highest GPA in my whole school! My comments on tutoring Science : I hold a Ph.D. In Biomedical Science with a focus on molecular virology and molecular biochemistry..

I believe that stimulating conversation and allowing people to arrive at answers on their own and through experience is the best way to form lasting connections.
I took a variety of Biology classes and Labs at WPI mostly focused on Cell Biology and Molecular Genetics. I recently finished my PH.D. where I studied control of viral gene expression. This work encompassed a variety of biological disciplines including virology, cell biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, and molecular genetics, all of which I am quite experienced in. I have found that the best way to teach math is through analogy and real world examples. I prefer to teach general as opposed to specific methods, as these are more widely applicable. However general methods appear to be best taught through specific examples and with a great deal of patience. I am also a great fan of student encouragement as nothing can be done by the student if hey lack the necessary confidence.
