A Little Bit About Me...

I consider myself to be a "beginner" teacher as I have recently graduated college and received my license. I have spent roughly 500 hours in the field as a result of college course requirements, and I have successfully completed a 12 week internship (student teaching) experience. I have had the opportunity to work in many different subject areas and classroom settings with students of various backgrounds, ages, and learning styles.

I love to inspire creativity and push for success!

I have taught English/Language Arts for 3 years to 6-8 grade students, and I have worked as a tutor in various capacities for the past 7 years. I enjoy working with all children in an educational setting, although I prefer grades k-5. It is very rewarding for me when I see a child actually retaining what is being taught to them. IN China they have a philosophy on teaching and learning. Learning has two parts. The first part is being taught how to do something. However it is not a complete process until the knowledge can be demonstrated by the student without the teacher. It is also important to realize that children are all capable of learning but not all children learn the same way.
