Upon my decision to return to college and obtain my BS degree, it was discovered that I possessed an uncanny, natural talent involving all aspects of the studies surrounding English. Reading, comprehension, symbolism, poetry, creative writing, poise, maturitym ,ect. After that placement exam, it was decided that I did not have to take any English courses, or, I would take more advanced courses. I did choose the latter. Throughout the last 10 years, I have helped my husband, brother, all of my children, etc. I have tutored them on how to write a well developed paper on their topic of choice, and have it read showing the expertise of the writer. I possess the same talents when it comes to proper grammar. I also teach Catholisim to the 8th grade once per week for 2 hours. I prepare them for the sacrament of confirmation. I am currently in my last semester of my Masters program at St. John’s University and will have my New York State Initial certification in K-6 by May 2011.As a student teacher in the first and fourth grade classrooms, I have been able to utilize and build upon the courses taken as part of my education. I was able to design and implement my own lesson plans, as well as modify to meet the needs of all students. From this experience I have been able to further develop instruction for both groups and individuals in reading and math. Prior to my student teaching I was a teaching assistant in a preschool for students with disabilities.

Graduated from Seton Hall University, located in South Orange, NJ with a bachelor's degree in biology. Studied science for 5 years in college with an emphasis on medical courses to eventually pursue a degree as a physician assistant. Strong background in math (algebra, calculus, statistics) and sciences (biology and chemistry). Also, open to tutor in english, economics, electives, etc. Experience includes tutoring in math and science for West Haven High School (2000-2004) and tutor through the Biology Society at Seton Hall Univ (2005-2009).
