A Little Bit About Me...

I like teaching mathematics and have always strived to meet the learning needs and styles of each student I teach. I am a patient person and have seen much success in the learning of mathematics of my students. Students must be given examples of work and then let discover methods for solving problems. Students can go beyond their potential when they are given positive reinforcement and praise. I have tried to make a difference in the lives of my students and will continue to do so in the future.
I have worked in Mathematics Education for the past 25 years. I worked with elementary and middle school students for the first five years I taught. I then taught high school math for 1 year and have since taught adults at the University level. I spent 17 years at Heritage University and throughly enjoyed my adult students. I returned to college in my mid-40s to complete a Bachelor's degree, majoring in Biology, minoring in Chemistry and Pre-professional Studies. This enabled me to attain competent understanding of not only the hard science classes, but also to experience writing and presentation skills at the professional level.
