A Little Bit About Me...

My favorite part of being a teacher is when I see a struggling student succeed. I believe that all students do not learn in the same way, and so it is of utmost importance to find the BEST learning method for each child. It is important to keep the student involved in the learning process with hands-on activities that allow the student to experience the science!

A Little Bit About Me...

I believe the best way to learn is peer-to-peer learning. As an auto-didact I have the study skills necessary to regurgitate information as taught by the current institutional models. This is an uncreative and highly unnatural way to learn. There's a reason no major discovery was made in a classroom -- true innovation, discovery and learning is an organic process.
I'm a student at Augustana College whose academic record has ranged from public school to home schooling to community college and and even private education. I attended the University of Northern Iowa as an undergraduate where I received a bachelor’s degree in biology in May 2009.
