I have always placed a high value on education, and, having worked full time to put myself through college, have developed an even greater appreciation for students who have the desire to learn. During my undergraduate career, and upon the recommendation of several of my professors, I developed an informal study/tutoring program where classmates and I could get together to go over the week’s lecture and homework, as well as study for future exams. I felt a great sense of satisfaction any time a classmate was able to not only learn the material, but conceptually understand it. I attained my first degree in Supply Chain Management from Syracuse University in 2003. After working in that field for a few years, however, I chose to change my career path. I then went back to school at the City College of New York to pursue a degree in Civil Engineering. I am happy to say that I am graduating this month (December 2010), and have not regretted pursuing this second degree at all. Through my college experiences I have completed over 220 credits in many subjects, with my strongest in the math, sciences and engineering.
