I believe that whenever I'm working with a student they have the capacity to learn and internalize the material. I believe that the student can learn the material. My method of mathematical and scientific instruction is based off the Polya style of teaching where the instructor guides their students by questions and reviewing the known information. Thus the student's questions drive the student towards the answer desired. I find great personal reward when working with students. After explaining information and working on helping a student understand the material there's sometimes that moment when you can watch the student go from not knowing what's going on to sudden understanding. A Little Bit About Me...

I have earned a BA in Psychology which has not only helped me to understand different learning styles but has also helped me to better convey information to a variety of people. I was considering a degree in animal science which required me to take many college math courses. I have always had the patience and interest in math and have completed coursework up to Introductory Calculus. I have been tutoring in math for the past year because I truly enjoy being able to share the knowledge I have to help others succeed.
