Patient English and Drama Teacher

My teaching style is being patient and kind and letting students get actively involved in the lessons.
I am a Certified Teacher in the State of Washington and currently work as a Substitute Teacher for the Fife Public Schools. I have been a Substitute Teacher for local school districts and chose to work part time since I was caring for my elderly father who passed away in 2012. I enjoy teaching Elementary Education, Preschool, Drama, and English. I taught Drama for The City of Lakewood back in 2008 to 2010. I chose to receive a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts, so I could study many different fields, rather than focus on only one. I was thrilled with reading and literature courses; history; fine arts; sociology and humanities. I have always had a love of reading and I was happy to share the joy of reading when I volunteered my time to help struggling and early readers in elementary school. In addition, I have developed and taught art classes for adults; as well as Sunday School classes for children.
I believe everyone learns best when the subject matter is interesting and engaging to that student. I have always tried to adapt my curriculum to the interests of my students.
