I have always wanted to be a teacher, I couldn't really see myself doing anything else. I try to make learning and inclusive experience for all children. I feel that sometimes children's different learning styles get overlooked and then as a community we have a child that is left feeling that they are unworthy. My goal is to help all children learn at their pace and at their skill level, not at some standard set by the state. I want the children I spend time with to feel good about their learning experience and to enjoy themselves.
As a full time student and a full time employee of the General Electric Company I did not have the time to goof around. Presently, I am a student at Walden University working towards obtaining a Ph.D. in Psychology. Since I had earned my BA’s in Psychology and Accounting, MA in Community Counseling, I firmly believe in the institution of learning. I have a diverse spectrum of knowledge from these disciplines. I had volunteered time at Indian River giving psychological assessments to the youths that were incarcerated. Additional volunteer time was as a Guardian Ad Litem with Stark County Family Court and a volunteer in the Witness Protection Program with the County Prosecutors office. I graduated recently in Elementary education, so I have a broad knowledge in all subject areas. I got in the top 15th percentile on the Praxis content knowledge test. I am well-trained in different teaching techniques as well as Elementary content because I have substituted in classes from special education, to kindergarten, to sixth grade in small group and whole class. I have also tutored students in a college Biology class, one-on-one, and tutored friends when they needed it. I have also taught piano lessons for two years to various students.
I firmly believe that every child is capable of learning hard concepts, they just have to be taught in a way that is applicable to them. A Little Bit About Me...

I love teaching and being around children. I love watching them grow and learn new things. I love the excitement and joy they have when they learn something new. I have learned that in order to be a good teacher, you have to be flexible and willing to teach in a variety of ways. Everyone learns differently and in their own time. I graduated from the University of Akron with a degree in chemistry and alongside I had taken many biology classes as a prerequisite for pharmacy school.At UA I skip a couple of math and physics classes and got placed in Calculus II and Physics II. I attended pharmacy school for couples of years, where I took some advance biology classes and was very involve in group assignments and group study.
