A Little Bit About Me...

I'm in my senior year of High School, I have worked with my siblings on their school all of my life. I've helped my little brother who has ADHD with his homework, I've worked with him through book projects, spelling tests, history homework, pretty much anything and everything. I'm also very talented in the English area, writing and grammar specifically. Can write with both my right and my left hands, I work well with children no matter the age.

Writing Skills is one of my top subjects! I regularly produce and edit technical documents, but also have written hundreds of paid creative and instructional pieces.

I received my B.S. degree in Biology, and am knowledgeable about many sub-disciplines, including life sciences (plants/animals), genetics, evolution, and anatomy. I am generally able to explain difficult biological concepts in a more conversational way. I've worked with high school youth in the past (approx. 2 years experience) in a crew structure teaching job skills (resume writing, interviewing, etc.) and basic biological/ecological principles. I have worked with family and friends to teach basic personal finance and resume-writing tips to help them achieve great results. I am primarily an environmental consultant, and I routinely use MS Office programs to analyze, organize, and present data in easy-to-understand ways. I was in a program called "Study Buddies" all four years at high school. I would devote a couple afternoons a week tutoring middle school students (and eventually high school students). During this time I would help them study for tests, complete assigned work, or help clarify any material that the student didn't understand. Also, I helped these students develop their writing and grammar skills. Starting my junior and senior year of high school, I began "one on one" tutoring with selected individuals. Study buddies was a program where several students would show up and the helpers would assist accordingly, but when I began tutoring I specifically met with them at assigned times. My teaching experience began during high school when I would help out at my church's Sunday School providing remedial services like handing out papers. Since then I have earned a bachelor's degree in finance and economics with ambitions to earn a PhD.
