My minor area of study while at River Falls was Psychology, and over the course of my college career, my interest in the topic has developed into a career goal. After beginning my tutoring experience as a volunteer with Metro North Adult Basic Education in 2003, I have continued to tutor students at various grade levels in many different subjects. I find it to be a tremendously rewarding experience. In addition to volunteering with Metro North to assist adults in preparing for their GED exams, I have worked as a paid tutor for Lindamood-Bell Learning Processes, Hennepin County Library and Club Z In-Home Tutoring. I graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I am enrolled in a doctoral program currently to earn my Ed.D in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies. I have a great amount of experience in research and writing and have been teaching at-risk youth for 2 years. Primarily, I teach all Social Studies classes.
