I am a former Special Education teacher from Bibb County. I taught in a interrelated classroom in both the elementary school level, and the middle school level. I taught reading, math, science, and social studies. I was a cooperative teacher, in which I worked with the general education teacher to assist her in helping our students with special needs. I started playing piano at a very young age (7 years old) and afterwards started to pick up other instruments along the way which resulted in all county for Tuba (3rd chair 2010) and in that same year becoming a drum major. During the last 10 years I have worked with all levels of students, preschool through college levels. These areas include reading, math, english, psychology, science and social studies. I have always had an avid love of learning. I attempt to make my students love it too. I try to incorporate things the students like into the lessons (for example, I used football scoring to explain mathematic concepts to a 10 year old boy). I also am a firm believer that mistakes are part of the learning process; if you are able to see where you went wrong and fix it, you have succeeded in understanding the material.
