A Little Bit About Me...

I trained at four different dance studios in Knoxville for fifteen years. I am a former member of the Bearden High School Dance Team. I danced competitively at state level and national level competitions. I danced in Disney World's Thanksgiving Parade, and I have been on ESPN twice for UDA dance competitions. I trained for three years with the University of Temnessee's dance team, and I have gone to national dance workshops. I am trained in ballet, jazz, Pom, and hip hop; however, I prefer to teach and perform jazz.

A Little Bit About Me...

I believe learning should be fun. In my experience I have found that if a student has fun and laughs during a lesson, he/she will remember the contents of the lesson more. I strive to create memorable experiences for my students. I am also patient teacher. Ideally, my students learn by investigating and drawing their own conclusions. I will serve as a guide and provide hints and correct answers. My goal is that the passion I have for learning and for the subjects I teach will ignite a passion in my students.
I first became passionate about teaching while I was teaching English in China. I received a BS in Bible with a minor in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages), which has provided me with an understanding of linguistics, teaching methods, grammar, and language acquisition.
