Having struggled through four years of attempting to learn chemistry at the undergraduate level, listening to “inarticulate though erudite” lectures on various topics in chemistry in the dank, damp, hallowed halls of the University of Paisley, I was determined to redress the balance in favor of the student. My ideas on education have not changed much since those early days, though perhaps now I am better qualified to express these sentiments in line with stated educational theory. As a graduate student, I have successfully tutored a number of undergraduate students. I received my BS in Biology and minor in Chemistry. Currently, I have 15 graduate semester hours including Advanced biochemistry, parasitology, Advanced botany, and Plant development.
